Experiencing transphobia can be upsetting, distressing, and isolating. Whether the behaviour was a one-off incident or something that has happened repeatedly over time, what you have experienced matters.
You do not have to deal with this alone. You may wish to:
- Talk to someone you trust, such as a friend, colleague, tutor, manager, support staff member or School EDI Lead.
- Access the Student Counselling and Mental Health Service
- Raise a concern or access wellbeing support through HR
- Make a report through Report + Support to explore the options available to you.
- Seek advice from specialist organisations that support trans and non-binary people.
You will be listened to, treated with respect, and supported in deciding what, if any, action you would like to take.
